If you're living or visiting California, there are a few things that you absolutely need to know.
You may be wondering….why is an article about California in the survival section of prohillbilly.com? Because, your life may depend on your decision to live in or visit California. First let me say that I have had the fortunate opportunity to spend a great deal of time visiting California. I have seen everything from the redwoods and vineyards in the north to Hollywood and Camp Pendleton Marine base near Oceanside to the beautiful coast in San Diego. Wow, what a great place visit and I have family that lives there too!
But this is an article of caution. California is in a budget crisis and has made the bold and stupid decision to release 16,000 prisoners. If you're a prisoner this is good news if you're a law abiding citizen, look out, run away and don't look back.
Dear Governator,
What are you thinking? Releasing 16,000 felons! Surely a bullet to the back of the head would be better for these guys? I guarantee that at least 14,000 of these guys will repeat past crimes or worse! Now you have 14,000 more crimes to investigate, find the criminals, arrest them, prosecute them, and put them right back to where they are now. How much is this going to cost? Furthermore, I don't know if you realize this, our economy is not set up to accept 16,000 more unemployed cons looking for jobs that don't exist. What do you think they are going to do for money?........Commit more crimes! And, since the economy is sooooo bad, they will be tempted to commit worse crimes in an effort to survive on the streets.
But, California officials say "they have solution for keeping these criminals and others from going back to prison": California law officials say they are going to "focus on parole supervision for the most dangerous offenders." Let me ask a question, "how's that working for you?" Let's take a simple look at a recent case involving your parole system; eighteen years ago a paroled registered pervert named Garrido kidnapped an eleven year old girl named Jaycee Duggard. He kept her prisoner in his back yard for eighteen years while fathering two children with her. Parole officers regularly visited this registered sex offender and didn't know he had a kidnapped girl in his yard for eighteen years. And now, you are going to rely on this parole system to monitor an additional 16,000 criminals….you couldn't even monitor ONE!
In an effort to keep the number of repeat offenders and others from entering California's prisons, California has a novel idea: California is going to change the property crime laws and reduce them from felonies to misdemeanors. That's right somebody breaks into your house, steals your stuff, packs it into your car with the family pet and drives away with it all, they will be issued a ticket with a summons to appear in court just like the guy driving 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Well, wait a minute you mean these 16,000 criminals can now commit new crimes without fear of going to prison? YES!
Good luck Californian's, I love your state but I won't be visiting there anytime soon. Please remember that each of you is responsible for each other's health and wellbeing. It's your sworn duty as an American to help out anyone who may not know that your neighborhoods will soon be crawling with 16,000 additional criminals. As soon as these 16,000 commit crimes worthy of re-imprisonment and are put away, I'll be baaaaack!
