American Heroes can be found everywhere every day.
An officer from Brooklyn Heights, a suburb of Cleveland Ohio stopped to assist a motorist after a weather related traffic accident. Lt. John Lambert 42 years old, a 22 year veteran of the Brooklyn Heights police department was assisting the accident victim when he notice another car skidding out of control and sliding right toward them. Lt. Lambert first shoved the motorist out of harm's way and then attempted to save himself. Taking the crucial time to save the motorist left him with no time to get out of the way. Lt. Lambert was struck by the vehicle causing multiple injuries to his back and pelvis.
Folks, this is not unusual. This officer, when faced with a life threatening decision, chose to save a citizen before his own safety. Wow! We are lucky and thankful to have all of the men and women in uniforms protecting us today. What Lt. Lambert did for this motorist certainly saved him from being critically injured or more likely killed? Lt.
